Description

Design Tribe provided Māori cultural design expertise across the project and liaison with iwi and university Māori stakeholders, and took the lead on the design of the wharenui and associated cultural spaces. The design uniquely integrates the wharenui into the fabric of the complex, which also includes a student hub, the Faculty of Māori and Indigenous Studies and the Office of the Vice Chancellor.
